Symptoms
Symptoms of magnesium deficiency start on older leaves.
Chlorosis between the veins progresses from the margin to the middle of the leaf. First the affected areas turn yellow-green, later color changes to orange or red. The small veins also become chlorotic, but the bigger ones remain green and white respectively.
The interveinal zones curl up.
Growth reduction is only slight when deficiency is moderate, but increases with severe deficiency.
