Symptoms
With nitrogen deficiency the foliage becomes yellowish-green (chlorotic). The symptoms start from the older leaves and after a while the whole plant becomes chlorotic, some leaf parts may have a reddish or orange flush.
The shape of the leaves remains normal.
Growth is strongly restricted, crop development is delayed and older leaves may decay.
With severe N deficiency, no head is formed.
